2010 A-H-D SL 1 -- Speed Board
The new SL 1 Concept boards are aimed to reach top speed effortlessly.
The planing angle and the response have been optimized by a complete redesign of every square inch of the surface of the board.
* Two deck steps strengthen the structure, guaranteeing an immediate response of the shape during planing and when touching the water. The transfer of the forces is immediate towards forward motion.
* The strap positions have been adjusted on a more comfortable deck to optimize the speed stance.
* Cut outs have disappeared from the hull allowing a clear bottom shape without impeding the flow of the water.
* The V has been redefined. Under the front foot the V is at its maximum, and it is near zero at the back of the board, guaranteeing stability and high speed.
The tests on the water have been filmed, and the results speak for themselves: the shapes accelerate on the water without the slightest interference. The transfer of the applied forces from the front of the hull to the tail is immediately converted to acceleration and speed. Stability is perfect allowing easy control and acceleration.

The Shape:
A direct development of our Seal Concept, the SeaLion shape has been compacted within only 232cm of length, a 74cm width, and an 8,5kgs weight.
This is a board you can travel with and store very easily.
Its 135 litres volume is progressively spread on a balanced and very compact outline; this will guarantee that the board remains stable when stopped, allowing riders up to 100kg to stay standing-up on the board.
Its continuous V-bottom sports slight concaves along the full length, in order to maximize glide in lower wind-forces.
Its tail, with an over-50cm One-foot-Off, is fitted with pretty much outboard twin fins (2 x 18cm); which will get you on the plane early and maximize your back-foot turning power.
Its rails are significantly rounded and soft forward.
On the water:
The SeaLion is a stable board; it pops-up on the white-water, thanks to the limited area impacting the wave. With a bottom designed to skim in 1-2 knots winds, it will plane at the very first breeze. Its surfing curves are neat and stable, thanks to excellent supports on the voluminous rail in a bottom turn and instantaneous pivoting when later putting you weight on the back foot in the cut-back.
On a plane, this board will show a surprisingly good speed. Both jibes and tacks will be easy to master.

2010 - A-H-D Concept Wave Board
Concept Wave -- Speed is the Key
The outstanding performance of our Seal boards in the surf has obviously raised the bar for us. This was forcing us to be very demanding in our new Concept Wave board development, and we set ourselves the objective to design highly maneuverable but also much faster shapes for a different, aggressive, approach to the waves.
Shape:
Their semi-compact and balanced outline has been pinched in a round pin-tail aft.
These new boards have down and thin rails; this is particularly emphasized in the aft part of the board.
The volume is adequately balanced from the foot-straps to mast-track, while decreasing fast at both ends.
A double concave right under your feet comes boosting the curved scoop-line.
On the Water
Our Concept Wave boards shine by their very high speed for a wave board. Moving across the spot, re-placing on the wave, going upwind, surfing, everything is achieved faster.

Our New Rebound series share the same philosophy as our successful earlier generation Rebounds:

For 2010, we have refreshed the concept with one single volume and a fully redesigned shape which retains the original Seal s qualities and improves on them:
Booming speed and manoeuvrability in lower wind forces and sailsurfing conditions or soft waves.
The outline and bottom shape have been designed to shootout at the first foot pressure and keep accelerating where a traditional waveboard peaks out.
Balance, stability and aptitude to relocate in nonplaning mode:
Get quickly back to the peak. Keep your feet in the straps, get-up and plane at the first puff.
In higher wind forces:
Its outline is inverted aft, which hangs on better and offers more grip and tighter more precise curves.

2010 A-H-D Summerboard Beach Toy
3 years ago, long before the WUP (windsurfstandup) took off, we had introduced our concept shape #2, the Summer Board, then a 12' hybrid sailboard offering both leisure sailing and paddling capabilities.
Since practices and shapes have quickly evolved.
The AHD Sealion got the box of conformism to explode, with a totally different shape and a very wide range of performances.
Today AHD is finally able to re-open the door to beginners, and families, reintroducing casual stand-up sailing and paddling on lakes and off beaches.
Welcome Summer Board!
Here is at last a very refined board, the result of a several years of development, an easy and friendly, learning, cruising, surfing, sailing and paddling tool.
Shape
A 9' (274 cm) "retro fish" shape, the A-H-D Summer Board features a 152 litres volume on a 75.6 cm max-width making it a very compact board.
As with the Sealion the underwater shape is veed along the full length.
We have also kept the twin-fins set up which has proved so successful in low wind ranges.
To make it easier for beginners, we have offered the opportunity to fit a large fin, as a centreboard, in a Powerbox located just aft of the mast-step.
Voluminous rails ensure good performance in the surfs and a great stability.
A rather curved scoop-line allows a soft glide both when cruising and surfing.
On the water
The A-H-D Summer Board is an easy board, offering fun in many disciplines, for any size surfers, whatever their experience is!
Fitted with a central centreboard, this board can very well climb upwind while being very stable.
It is the board of choice for gentle light-weather cruising, or just to learn windsurfing.
In the waves, with or without sails, it's just a cool board, on which you may surf all types of waves without any need for too radical or too technical actions.
